Design Style: Her name is based off of Lenore from the Poem by Edgar Allen Poe. La Noir is thus based off a combination of The Raven and Lenore. Also her design includes a few other concepts based off of Poe’s other works. - Her tie is based off “The Pit and the Pendulium” - The opening in her vest is from “The Tell Tale Heart” - Her color purple is based on the fact that Purple is the official color of Baltimore where Poe’s grave site is located and not too far from where the Baltimore Ravens play. Extra Fact: The Ravens have their name originate from the Poem of Poe’s as well. -Her hair style looks like a raven’s shape as if it is flapping. -Her dress mimics the feathers of a raven.
Other Traits: Due to being a huge fan of poetry, La Noir is well read and has an extensive lexicon. There are times when she even loves to speak in verse. She walks with confidence even to the point of being able to blend in with every day humans in the city and can be found at various libraries, bookstores, and poetry readings.
Her Story: Since Poe’s Death, she is the real “person” who would lay Roses and Cognac on his grave. She does this out of great respect for her favorite writter. She also patrols the area to make it safe for people to visit and is a hidden portector of the area.
Her Fighting Style: Elegant Brawling is what she would call it. She has learned a fer hard hitting moves while portecting the area over the years and also has her own Inky-Styled attacks using her Raven Spirit and ability to summon the sprits of other ravens to assist her.
Battle Quotes: - You will NEVERMORE tresspass on these grounds. - FOREVERMORE I will search for the best Cognac. - I have a tale to tell of your poetic loss.
Thanks! I had a lot of fun working on her design. I entered her into a Design a Dark Stalker contest Capcom is having. I just hope she gets a good response.
The only thing better than a fighter is a fighter who rhymes.
Am looking forward to that already.
